I’m starting to wean my six month old. He is breastfed and has formula now and again. I’ve started him on baby rice with my breast milk but can I give him cows milk for porridge or Weetabix?

I also want to give him veggies, is it best to cook and mush them to start him off or just cook let cool and then let him feed himself? I’m getting lots of mixed advice.

We wanted to try baby-led weaning but along the way we decided to give both pieces and puree, using the two filled spoons technique but also by spoon-feeding her. So we are actually doing both methods at the same time.

The general rule is: you can introduce any food except sugar and salt (this is for added salt in foods in percentage more that 1%) until the age of two, and honey until the age of one.
