Hi all, my baby has never been a fan of swaddling so I’ve avoided that. But with the cold weather in England I’m contemplating putting him in a sleeping bag at night as he kicks his blanket off. Have you had success with these? He sleeps quite well at night currently - usually between 7-9 hours straight most evenings and we wake once for a feed and change.
Hi, we use a sleeping bag and, although he still had a bit of a startle reflex and was fighting his swaddle, he got used to it quite quickly. I don’t tend to change now in the middle of the night as the sleeping bags are a bit of a faff and found he was then wide awake and took longer to settle again. Try a higher absorbency nappy at night for that - it’s worked so well for us so now when he wakes it’s just a bottle and back to sleep.
Hiya, I have a newborn (12 days old!) and he's only ever been in grow bags. He absolutely loves them. Just got to make sure the tog of the growbag is ok with room temp and other layers. So if room is 16-20 degrees, he wears his sleepsuit and growbag to bed with no vest or anything. Because it's zipped up around like a sleeping bag, it means he can kick his legs and is still fully covered. It also means he can move his arms as much as he wants in bed too. 😊
Hi! I love the sleep sacks, they are great. Next seem to have the best priced ones. Plus on the tags they have advice on what baby should wear and what tog to use depending on room temp.
