Hey mums! I’m 12 weeks pregnant and I think I have cystitis! Can anyone recommend anything please?!

Hydration, hydration, hydration! Your body dehydrates quicker when pregnant or breastfeeding, so it’s very important to drink water frequently throughout the day. (Most ideal to do frequent sips versus occasional chugs to keep up!)

Also, diluting cranberry juice can sometimes help too - regular cranberry juice can be pretty acidic on the bladder, however if you mix it 50/50 with water it can help because cranberry is also good for your bladder.

Are you familiar with happy baby pose in yoga or doing like a deep squat against the wall? Stretching your pelvic floor can help relieve tension on the pelvic nerves and sometimes relieve cystitis pain.
