Pregnant mum

Hi, I am sorry you are feeling this way. Please try not to compare yourself to others as we are all completely different. I am heavier now seven months postpartun than I was pregnant!

You’re only four weeks postnatal and yes you're right there is still retained water there. Your body has gone through a lot of changes and still has some to go. Your hormones are still crazy all over the place. Please be kind to yourself.

Let your body heal before trying any exercise or diet.

It will take time to get back to what you were before, and yes some people do bounce back quicker than others. But please be kind to yourself. If you are concerned about your mental health talk to your health visitor about it. I’ve only just started walking and getting back to normal now, your body needs time to process and heal what it’s been through.

I've had two kids, lovely. I used to be a size eight before my first and went up to size 10. Then with my second, I'm now 21 weeks postpartum and in a size 12.

Be proud of your body. It grew a tiny little human.

I walk everywhere and that seemed to help. It could well be water weight though.

I was exactly the same. I had to go buy clothes in higher sizes, which really brought me down. My baby is now just over three months and I’ve not done much in the way of exercise or diet changes and I’m able to just squeeze myself into my old jeans - still very tight lol but it’s a defo improvement from when I had given birth.

I know this probably isn’t much help and I know what it’s like to struggle with body image but only four weeks ago you gave birth. Your body just carried a whole person! You should be proud of that body, just for a little while. 🥰
