Hi, I am four weeks pregnant. What can I do to make sure I have a healthy pregnancy?
The very first thing you should do is make sure you’re taking prenatal vitamins every day! The DHA and folate in prenatal vitamins are very important for the early development of baby in the womb.
You should also make sure you check in with your doctor to schedule an initial appointment.
From there, hydration is important! So drink lots of water and avoid alcohol. A healthy, well rounded diet is also beneficial to you and baby.
Try to get good sleep, exercise (even just walking is great), and perhaps check out a book or two from the library! I personally loved reading the classic What to Expect When You’re Expecting and The Mindful Mama to Be. (I can send you links to these books if you’d like.) If you’re not a big book reader, I found the Ovia pregnancy app very helpful for documenting symptoms, tracking that I took my prenatal each day, keeping track of when all my appointments were, and reading about how big baby was and what developmental changes were happening each week!
I hope some of this info helps! If you have other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
