Is there anything I can do to help my son say 'mama' and 'dada'? He's nearly nine months.
When I talk to my baby, I constantly say 'Mama will help', 'Mama do', 'Give to Mama'. If you try and get it into his head, he will start saying it.
I believe mama and dada are sounds/words that kids first make as the sound is easy to make, but it is also all relative to development and each baby is different.
We used to sing mama and dada in the tune of nursery rhymes, for example 'mama mama - da da da - mama mama - da da da' for twinkle twinkle little star.
When talking to your, son over-pronounce/over-mouthe words that start with with M and D so he can see how the sound is made with the mouth.
