Tonight, I'm staying at my mums for the night with my three month old. This will be the first time she'll be sleeping in a different environment and I know this will be good for her especially as next month we're going to Spain to visit my mum-in-law, but I can't help but feel so anxious about this temporary change and have a routine slightly changed. Has anyone else felt like this? Also, I'm going to a baby shower in a bit and leaving my daughter with my mum. This will be the first time I'll ever be away from her, even if it is for a few hours, so I'm getting separation anxiety. I am such an over thinker at the best of times!
I can totally understand your anxieties. Does your little one sleep in a sleeping bag? Can you take your bedding from home for your mum's house? That way it will all still smell and feel the same. If you use white noise, you can play some white noise at mums too. Your baby is still very little, so will be able to adjust to these changes. From about four months-ish, they begin to become more aware of their environment.
So natural to feel like this though! Once you get to mums hopefully, you will feel a bit better and make the most of the extra hands and eyes!
