How do I stop feeling so guilty for trying to do things for myself without my kids?
Aw, it’s so hard. Us mothers do put a lot of pressure on ourselves, don’t we? And feel guilty for not doing enough/doing too much.
Time for you is so important. You need to look after yourself, so you are in best position to look afters others. I do believe this does mean stepping away from time to time and doing things for you.
I always find if I have a little bit of time doing something for myself, I am re-energised and excited to do stuff with my children. Otherwise, I feel absolutely washed out and be no good to anyone!
