I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I'm suffering with really bad constipation and piles. I've been on lactose but it's not doing an awful lot. Can you take Senna during pregnancy?

Some constipation is normal during the last trimester and after birth. Senna isn't safe during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, but you should drink a lot of water and add more fiber to your diet. Eating food like dates or dry apricots helps too, and avoid too many carbs, rice, or fried food. I'd also recommend a kiwi and green veggie smoothie in the morning.
