My 14 month old is refusing to sleep in his own room at night. He goes to bed on time but wakes up after about one hour and then screams to the point of vomiting if we don’t take him out of his cot. When he comes into our room, he sleeps immediately even when we leave the room. He’s generally been a good sleeper since he was two months old so I’m very confused. Has anyone else experienced this? Help needed!

Hey! It is perfectly normal and there’s no such thing as developing bad habits. Babies are continuously growing and developing, and change is the only constant. Don’t worry about spoiling” your son! Perhaps he needs more comfort now - teething perhaps? Saying that, you can try consistency and keep putting your son back in his bed after offering reassurance and comfort. He may wake up a few times, but staying consistent and it will pass! My daughter (now two) is fine sleeping by herself in her room or sleeping in our bed. It does not matter, so don’t worry about it too much. This too shall pass - good luck.
