My breasts are quite small and I’m having difficulty latching her on. Any advice?

I also had a problem establishing a good latch with both of my children, which made it really painful and difficult for a couple of weeks. The advice I was given was to wait until the baby’s mouth is open wide then hold your hand in a C shape with thumb above the nipple and the rest of the hand below and essentially just shove your boob in there. And if the latch isn’t right or it’s too shallow, then take baby off and try again - which is so hard to do just when baby starts feeding!

The number one thing I remember is that my latch did eventually get better. Somewhere between three and six weeks it sorted itself out. If you has asked me when the babies were two weeks old, I’d have been convinced I’d be giving up entirely within the first month!
