My three year old is being fussy and won’t eat what I put in front of her, even when it’s her favourite meal. There’s so much food being wasted. Please help!
Heya! It’s probably not that helpful to say, but it’s likely just a phase and will pass. Children won’t starve themselves, so if she’s hungry, she will eat something (although probably not what you want her to eat)! Don’t make it into a power struggle as she’s likely asserting her independence. So be as calm as possible, don’t comment on what she’s eating or not eating. Instead, praise her for skills and how well she’s using her cup, fork, etc. Try giving her smaller portions of food too so she doesn’t feel like she’s been pressured or overwhelmed with the amount of food she has to eat.
